London Restaurant Web Design
Sorsi e Morsi is a pizza restaurant in Tooting, London. Founded in 2018, the restaurant specialises in hand-made Neapolitan pizza and fine wines. Situated in a vibrant neighbourhood, the business has a great reputation locally.
Website Design Outline
Sorsi e Morsi initially approached Yellow Moose with requirements to design their logo and a website holding page. As the business grew and developed, we were requested to build an online web ordering platform for their menu offering, in addition to managing the company’s digital marketing strategy and delivery of this. Food photography and PR photography is being provided on a quarterly basis.
FOOD DELIVERY PLATFORM
The online food delivery platform had to be both easy to navigate and simple to use. Visitors to the site need to be able to see the range of Neopolitan pizzas, and sides, on offer with a one click concept on the visual to order their food. This ensures easy booking. Product imagery demonstrates the authentic hand-made pizzas being freshly made to order. The client required a backend to the website’s food delivery platform where they can easily set up offers and promotions, in addition to editing the site. This functionality ensures the client can update their website with offers at timescales to suit themselves.
DIGITAL MARKETING SUPPORT
This is provided in the form of ongoing social media management and monthly email marketing newsletters. The specific brief behind this was to generate more local business sales. Since taking on digital and social media management for Sorsi e Morsi, their monthly website sales have increased eight-fold. Providing direct links to order food from the website booking system has helped drive this growth.
LOGO DESIGN AND BRANDING
Translated Sorsi e Morsi means ‘sips and bites’. It was important to convey this in the design of their logo to ensure the logo truly reflected the company name. After careful consideration, Napoli blue was used and a deep red colour to reflect the red wine. As the interior of the restaurant has evolved, we have adjusted graphical content of the logo to reflect this.
Quarterly photoshoots are being carried out at their restaurant in Tooting. These are a mixture of food, product and general photography for use in both digital communications and printed media.
Engagement on social media has improved month on month and traffic to the Sorsi e Morsi website has increased significantly. The client has seen month on month online sales growth through their own website via the web ordering platform, which means they are not paying high commissions on other food delivery platforms such as Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat.
