World of Wood are a Buckingham based furniture store who were after a clean and contemporary website with the purpose of showcasing their luxury range of Italian furniture.

Although World of Wood were quite happy with their web design, the construct of the site dated back 10 years and the build lacked an (often vital for a small business owner) ability to manage content in way that is simple and time efficient.

What we did:

Product Organisation

Our answer to their problems was a custom WordPress website, neatly organised and sporting the ability for the guys over at World of Wood to add, remove and modify the products on display as they see fit! A couple hours of training have gone a long way to help the World of Wood staff become fully independent in managing their own business website and content.

 

Allowing Online Sales

Having worked with World of Wood for a while, it was a natural progression to work on a fully functioning e-commerce store for this locally based shop. The e- commerce store required a new fresh design, and re-categorisation of all products to maintain functionality of the online store. The key aim of the online shop was to ensure a smooth user journey throughout the site, and to facilitate easy browsing for those looking for specialist Italian furniture.

 

Delivering Delivery Options

Due to the nature of the furniture from World of Wood we had to integrate additional functionality, as some products can be delivered, and others are for store pick up only. For some furniture pieces there is the option for customers to choose their preferred method of delivery or pick up option. Integrating these requirements ensures customers can clearly see the options available for their chosen pieces of furniture.
